I met Robby in the summer of 2006. It wasn’t exactly love at first sight. Well, maybe for Robby it was. You know when you’re in elementary school and you know that a boy likes you because he makes fun of you?? That was Robby’s approach to me. He made fun of me and I tried to avoid him.
In the fall of 2006, we were both enrolled at Cincinnati Christian University and we. kept. running. into. each. other. I think it was part of Robby’s plan. We soon realized we had a shared passion in photography. We became best friends. And then one day, we realized we loved each other. We started dating in April. Exactly one month later, Robby left for Australia for three months and it was then that we realized we never again wanted to be apart. We were married on March 1, 2008.
Robby shot one wedding without me in 2006. Since then, we’ve always shot together. We’ve been consistently doubling our work since 2007 and we are always striving to become better photographers than we were the previous year.
In January, 2009, we found out we were pregnant. On August 21, 2009, we had our first child, a son named William David Ballmeyer. William after Robby’s dad and David after mine. Will has filled our lives with so much joy. He(along with Robby, of course!) is the person that I cannot live without. They have become essential to my everyday life:)
