Another week gone!

Time has always flown by, but I gotta say... being a parent just makes it go so much faster.  I love Will with all my heart and soul and wouldn't trade him for anything, but there is not a lot of down time.  I started this blog hoping to blog everyday and I did so for awhile, and now I'm really just hoping to blog every week.  It's not ideal, but it'll work:)

This week, I've been catching up on old friendships, tantrums, couponing, eating healthy, family, & (as always) entertaining my main squeeze, Will.  I hope you all had a fantastic week!

I'm watching the seconds fly by...

This is another week that Robby was gone.

Another week of being a single parent.

Not that I'm complaining... Robby's just doing his job and I'm ok with it.  But being a single parent means you have to be high energy all the time.  No breaks.  So as my sixth day of being a single parent is starting, I'm getting tired.  Kudos to all my single mom friends who do this day in and day out.  You are amazing to be the parents that you are with no help of a spouse.

Will went to the movies for the first time yesterday... it was pretty cool to see.  We went to the Danberry to see Kung Foo Panda.  I thought it was an awesome idea seeing how it was 97 degrees with a heat index in the 110's... It was really awesome to see him watching the movie and even laughing at the silly parts.  Apparently, my baby is growing up!

Saturday is soon approaching with Robby coming back and for that, I'm very grateful.  Sometimes I overlook all that he really does for us... So, thank you Robby for helping watch our son and giving him guidance and discipline to grow into a strong man.  Thank you for being a role model in his life.  Thank you for always having time for him.  Thank you for being the father and husband that we need you to be.  Thank you for doing dishes.  Thank you for changing light bulbs.  Thanks for mowing the grass and watering the flowers.  Thank you for carrying in groceries!  Thank you for being my best friend, companion, and confidante.  I love you more and more every single day.  Come home!!!

Crazy Man

Every single time that I think "Will can't possibly get any busier...", I'll turn around and he's learned something to make my life harder.

We had two of those things this past week.

1.) The word "no".  It's his new favorite.  Do you want to go on a bike ride? No. Do you want to sleep?  No.  Do you want to eat? No.  Do you want (insert anything and everything here) and there answer is still no.

2.) He figured out how to open doors.  They days of keeping him caroled in a room seemed to be dwindling, until one of my friends recommended these safety things that go over the door knobs so little hands can't get it.  THEY WORK PERFECTLY!  Will doesn't think so, on the other hand.  He gets so frustrated and eventually tells me the door is stuck.

I'm having another one of these "He can't possibly get busier moments because he has SO much energy today that it just makes me want to go back to bed.

But I guess on the upside that I'm sure I'm burning a lot of calories!

Take me out to the ball game!

Last week, we took Will to his first baseball game.

He really loves sports, but I was incredibly nervous about going to a game with him, because, well... he's not two and has the attention span of about .158 seconds.

I told him we were going to a Reds game and he started jumping up and down and yelled 'baaaaaaaaaaseballllllllll!!!!' a few hundred times.

We had a few friends who were nice enough to give us some tickets in the bleacher section so it was easy for Will to just sit in between us.  He sat for two whole innings-- clapping and cheering would other people would and looking quite concerned anytime anyone would yell.  Especially Robby:)

We walked around with him so he could get some ice cream and check out the playground.  We walked to the mist-ers and stayed under them for awhile... It was about 90 degrees and Will looked like he was going to have a heat stroke.  He watched two more innings and we called it a day.

Will constantly amazes me every day with the amount of things he learns and picks up... Will being my full time job is crazy and wonderful and I love every second of it.

Two small reasons why I've been MIA...

1.  I have been grieving the loss of my hopes of ever becoming a princess

2. And secondly, I've been spending my summer days entertaining this little guy...

Guess who's back.  Back again.  Shady Julie's back.  Tell a friend.
